Responsibilities & Contributions

  • Designed and built the spreadsheet architecture, formulas and forecasting logic

  • Developed accessible visual reporting using pie charts, doughnut charts and trend graphs

  • Structured workflow and data input systems for ease of use by both clients and Support Coordinators

  • Created user-friendly templates and instructions for self-managed NDIS Participants

Objectives

  • Improve budget visibility and reduce financial uncertainty for NDIS Participants

  • Enable Support Coordinators to communicate funding status clearly and confidently

  • Build a tool that is accessible, low-cost and easy to update without specialist software

  • Support informed decision-making and early identification of funding risks

Sustainability Impact Considerations

  2. Low-Cost & Resource-Efficient: Delivered using common software (Excel) to avoid additional expenses or reliance on third-party platforms

  3. Capacity-Building: Designed to be learnable, adaptable, and manageable without ongoing external support

  4. Inclusive Communication: Visual reporting simplifies complex financial information, improving accessibility for users with cognitive, literacy or executive functioning needs

Outcomes & Key Results

  • Enabled real-time budget tracking for self-managed NDIS Participants

  • Improved Support Coordinator ability to communicate funding status and forecast risks

  • Reduced likelihood of unexpected funding depletion through predictive expenditure modelling

  • Increased participant financial confidence and independence in managing supports
